Some Advice: I have personally found that forms of government is an incredibly difficult concept for students to understand and internalize. For that reason, I teach it in three different ways. You will find in the opening of the previous lesson plan, I use a kinesthetic method. I then explain it in words and diagrams. During the guided practice, we look at scenarios. When it came to the exit ticket, my students still struggled with the concept. I strongly advice teaching specific vocabulary to look for in scenarios. I also used the worksheet below to review the concepts before a quiz on purposes, types, and forms (included below):
